Choosing the right Vitamin C Supplements

It's not hard to find vitamin C supplements, but what many people don't realize is that some are much, much better than others.

If you have decided to take vitamin C supplements, whether in tablet, soluble, or drink form, you will want top keep these three key factors in mind.

  • Zinc
  • Amount of Vitamin C
  • Do they release the Vitamin C immediately or over time?
Zinc is surprisingly important, and is a key element that helps your body absorb the vitamin C. Most supplements now contain zinc if they provide vitamin C, but make sure before you buy!

You might also want to check the amount of Vitamin C contained in your supplement. Some limit to below the RDA, others (Such as immunity boosters) can contain up to 10,000 times the RDA.  This seems a little extreme (And it is) since most of what your body doesn't absorb is passe din your urine, infact the third point is hte only way to make higher levels of vitamin C worth taking.

When you buy a vitamin C supplement always look for supplements that release the vitamin C over time.  This will help make sure that the maximum amount is absorbed in to your body, and less is wasted.

Follow these simple rules and you will get the best vitamin C supplement for your money!

Don't forget though, it is sometimes better to take complete supplements that provide a boost to all the vitamins and minerals you need.
